Keisha borrowed a camera Wednesday night and did a wonderful job capturing the wild sky that afternoon. Keisha was a member of photo club last year and you can really tell she's had experience with the camera!

Great Start to the Week!
Quinton, Robin and Antonio are back at photo club after Cree Culture week and they took some stellar photos yesterday evening. Here they are!
To begin, we've got a few hilarious portraits. The first two are taken by Quinton, and the last two are taken by Robin.

Here is a collection of photos that does a neat job of looking at Waswanipi with new eyes. Highlighting shape and colour, Antonio (first photo) and Quinton (last three photos) show us the town from different angles.

October 20 and it's Snowing!
To celebrate the first day of BIG snow, I wanted to share some photos that were taken right before the landscape was transformed. Miah and Terry borrowed the cameras on Monday night, and here's what they came back with!
Keep up the great work! Next post will surely show some snow!
Miah captures a lovely view from the bluff, and experiments with camera angle to great effect in these 5 photos!
Terry works with composition and scale in these three photos!
Keep up the great work! Next post will surely show some snow!

Hot off the Press!
The very first edition of the Willie J. Happyjack High School News is hot off the press!
Newspaper club braved the cold and delivered it to various community spots around town. You can pick one up at the Band Office, the Post Office, the corner stores, the Clinic and the Vocational School. We will also be sending a copy home with each student when report cards go out.
But you get a sneak peek! You can check out the images below- just click on them to zoom in.
Enjoy! And remember to submit your work for the next edition. We accept drawings, photos, poems, short stories, comics, riddles, jokes, and more in English, French or Cree!
