Light Painting

What do you get when you mix sparklers candles, dark and long exposure photography? Amazing light painting photographs! All you have to do is to sit your camera on a tripod or any solid surface, set the shutter speed of your camera to few seconds, turn off the light, light the sparklers candles, release the shutter and « paint » with the sparklers (toward the camera)! The sparklers will leave a sparkling light trail on the pictures! And since the light is off, the sparkler is the only thing caught by the camera. This is called light painting because you use the candle as a brush and the camera captor as a canvas!

Qu’obtenez-vous lorsque vous mélangez des chandelles étincelantes, de la noirceur et de la photographie de longue exposition? D'époustouflantes photos de light painting! Pour ce faire, vous déposez votre appareil photo sur un trépied ou sur n'importe quelle surface plane, vous réglez la vitesse d'obturation à quelques secondes, vous fermez la lumière, vous allumez vos chandelles étincelantes, vous enclenchez l'obturateur (prenez la photo), puis vous « peignez » avec la chandelle (en dirigeant la chandelle vers l'appareil photo)! Puisque la lumière est fermée, la trace étincelante laissée par la chandelle sera le seul élément capté par l’appareil photo.  On appel ce procédé light painting parce que la chandelle est utilisée comme un pinceau et le capteur de l’appareil photo comme une toile!
