Stop motion : First attempt - Première tentative de stop motion

A stop-motion video is composed of succession of images which create an impression of movement. Making a stop-motion video with photography is easy. The only things you need is a camera, any object and truck-load of patience. It consists in deconstructing the movements with as many photos as possible. The more pictures you take to create a movement, the more fluid it will feel. After having taken the pictures, you only need to organize them and adjust the motion speed, with a video editing software (as the one that comes with your operating system)!

Here's our first stop motion attempt! It was directed by Kevin Blacksmith and William Gull.  

Un vidéo stop-motion est composé d'une succession d'images qui, une fois assemblées, donne l'impression de mouvement. Réaliser un vidéo stop-motion avec la photographie est facile, tout ce qu'il vous faut est un appareil photo, un objet quelconque et beaucoup de patience. Il suffit de décomposer les mouvements avec autant de photos que possible, plus vous prendrez de photos pour réaliser un mouvement, plus fluide il paraîtra. Après avoir pris les photos, il ne reste qu'à les assembler et à régler la vitesse avec laquelle elle défileront, avec l'aide un logiciel d'édition vidéo (qui vient souvent avec votre système d'exploitation)!
