Morning photo shoot and holidays! /// Séance photo du matin et temps des fêtes

Hello everyone, we would like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year, we will see you all in the next year, probably around the 11th. I want to take a minute to thank everyone (especially the students:) ) in Waswanipi, our stay here has been amazing so far.
This week, 7 students were brave enough to get up really early and come do a 7am photoshoot with us, WOW. We all ate a nice big breakfast after, it was great. Enjoy the pictures

Bonjour tous le monde, j'aimerais vous souhaiter à tous de joyeuses fêtes, nous vous reverrons tous dans la prochaine année, probablement dans les alentours du 11 janvier. Je prend une minute pour vous remerciez d'avoir fait de notre première session scolaire un moment mémorable. Je remercie tout spécialement les étudiants. Notre séjour à Waswanipi est vraiment merveilleux.
Cette semaine, 7 étudiants ont été assez brave pour se lever tôt et venir faire une séance photo à 7h du matin. Bravo! Nous avons tous mangé un bon gros déjeuner par la suite. C'était vraiment bien. Appréciez les photos!

Animated gif workshop / Atelier de gifs animés

Making animated gif is really easy, fun to do and it gives a funky result. Here are some we made this week. /// Faire des gifs animés est facile et amusant. Le résultat est souvent assez intéressant. Voici quelques animations fait cette semaine.

Youthfusion activities are not all really smart // Les activités de Youthfusion ne sont pas toutes très brillantes

Sometimes, often I would even say, doing stupid things can be really fun. Building big pyramids of foam cuts for the only purpose of smashing them is one of those dumb but fun thing to do.
Parfois, faire des trucs stupide peut être vraiment amusant. Construire de grosses pyramides de verre de styrofoam pour ensuite les détruire fait partie de ces choses stupides mais si plaisantes.

PAINT PARTY! RAAAR! /// PARTY DE PEINTURE! RAAAR!

Last friday, the young artists of Waswanipi did the most insane, messy artwork ever! We painted a wall at the youth center in black, then threw paint at it and expressed ourselves on it! Yes, it took a day of painting and cleaning up for 2 hours of craziness, but that's what it takes!

Vendredi dernier, les jeunes artistes de Waswanipi ont réaliser l'oeuvre la plus folle et chaotique! Nous avons peinturé un mur du youthcenter en noir puis nous avons lancé de la peinture dessus et nous nous sommes laissé allé à écrire et peinturer. Oui, nous avons passé une journée complète à nettoyer et peinturer pour pouvoir faire les fous pendant 2 heures, mais ça valait totalement la peine!

Sabtuan Vocational Training Centre MUSIC JAM!

Last tuesday was the first of the open music jams organized by the Sabtuan Vocational Training Centre. They were very pleased with the results and are planning on doing it again. It could end up being every week if enough people show interest and it's a great atmosphere wether you play music or not. Here is a glimpse of the first music jam :

SKIN JACKIN WASWANIPI

Skin jackin is an activity that consists of drawing on each other with special paint markers that do really bright colors but wash off easily. We practiced this week, but we will do it again tomorrow, friday, at the youth center from 7h30 to 11h pm at the COLOUR PARTY where we will also throw neon colored paint on black walls with black lights!
